Randstad is seeking a skilled and motivated Mechanic to join. Based at our clients workshop, this role offers the stability of Monday to Friday local work.

  Your Contribution

Working under the guidance of our Crew Leaders, you will be a key player in repair and maintenance operations. Your responsibilities include:

• Technical Repairs: Executing mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and auto-electrical repairs.
• Workshop Standards: Maintaining workshop tools and equipment to a high standard of safety and reliability.
• Mentorship: Providing on-the-job training and guidance specifically for our apprentices.
• Safety Leadership: Modelling positive safety behaviours so
• Documentation: Accurately completing job cards, timecards, and legislative logbooks for environmental and refrigerant compliance.
  
  Key Requirements

• Trade Qualification: Trade Certificate – Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanic (HCV).
• Technical Expertise: High level of knowledge in the repair of trucks, light commercials, and passenger vehicles.
• Licensing: A current Queensland "MR" class driver’s licence, with the capacity to obtain an "HR" class licence within six months.
• Digital Literacy: Basic computer skills relevant to Outlook, Word, Excel, and timekeeping applications.
• Professionalism: Well-developed diagnostic skills and the ability to negotiate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  
  Position Dimensions

• Location: Townsville (Bohle).
• Classification: C10 – C6 (Subject to competency assessment).
• Schedule: Monday – Friday
• Reporting to: Crew Leader Plant / Crew Leader Vehicles.
